Welcome to the Rapides Ostomy Support Group's Home Page. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the Mutual Aid and Moral Support of persons with Ostomies; Colostomy, Urostomy, Ileostomy or other urinary diversion, their families and friends.
Our aim is to promote a better understanding of ostomates and the programs of this ostomy group with both the public and the medical profession.
We are a local support group and chapter of the United Ostomy Associations of America.
The Phoenix magazine has replaced the Ostomy Quarterly. This is a great
magazine devoted to those with ostomy's, with great hints, tips and
uplifting articles. It is a 'must-have' for those with an ostomy and

Meeting Schedule
We meet on the THIRD MONDAY of every month (except December) at 6:30 P.M. in the TRELLIS ROOM of the Rapides Women's and Children's Hospital, which is across from Rapides General Hospital, in Alexandria, Louisiana. Park in the outside parking lot of Rapides General or underneath Women's Hospital. As you come in the side door, go through the double doors on your left and turn down the hallway on your left. Enter the second to the last door on your right. Please feel free to bring along your spouse, a friend, a family member or just anyone you want!!
